TGN Founder, Chem Perez
The Good News (TGN) #PlanetCleanup was founded by Chem Perez, A Filipino expat based in Thailand whose advocacy and passion is to protect our planet from the garbage crisis and to restore humanity. As a teacher, he believes that awareness and education is a key factor in solving our global garbage crisis. This is when he began #PlanetCleanup Thailand in 2019.
Today, The Good News has been to 10 other countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Dubai, Pakistan, Canada, Austria and mostly in the Philippines. The mission still continues and Chem stays positive and hopeful that one day, when more people become aware, change will be possible for you, for me, and for everybody.

What is the good news mission?
Our mission is to create more awareness about our global garbage crisis and the restoration of humanity. We believe that when more people become aware, change becomes possible.
Why do we do this?
We believe that there are still good people and good news out there so we are here to build and grow a community of real Earth and Nature lovers with a mission to restore humanity and help protect our planet through supporting each other’s good work, and encouraging compassion and love for our environment and the people.

2. Be a Leader or Volunteer. In order to continue TGN’s mission, we need leaders and volunteers to step up for our planet and its people.
